Our Policies

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens and schedules change. Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled through our online booking system, by calling, or texting our office. If you reach our office outside of business hours, the date and time your message was received will be honored.
Please note that cancellations communicated through social media direct messages will NOT be accepted.

We will always make every effort to fill your appointment slot — including contacting clients from our waitlist — to help you avoid a cancellation fee whenever possible.

At the time of booking, a credit card is required to remain on file to support our cancellation and no-show policy. Your card will never be charged outside of this policy without your express written consent. We do not require deposits for any services. For complimentary consultations, your card will only be charged if you fail to attend without notice.

If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend your appointment — the health and safety of our clients and team are paramount. We will always provide grace for the first illness-related cancellation. However, repeated last-minute cancellations may result in a fee in accordance with this policy.

For any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call or text at (253) 399-SKIN.
For all scheduling, billing, and general inquiries, you can also call or text (253) 399-SKIN, or email us at info@sunsetskinmedspa.com.

Appointments can be scheduled, rescheduled, or canceled through our website at any time. If you encounter any issues, we’re always happy to assist — just call, text, or email us.

Your privacy and trust mean everything to us. Whether you’re visiting for skincare, injectables, or wellness, your personal information is always kept strictly confidential.

We deeply value the trust you place in us and the special relationship between patient and provider.

To maintain a safe and serene environment, we kindly ask that you arrange childcare prior to your appointment. As a medical facility, our treatment areas and equipment are not suitable for children, and we are unable to accommodate unsupervised minors in the waiting area.

This policy ensures the safety of your children and our staff, and allows for the most effective and relaxing experience possible.

With proper medical supervision and guardian consent, we may treat patients under 18 for select medical services. We do not perform cosmetic aesthetic treatments on minors. Each case is individually reviewed, and treatment will only proceed if it is deemed appropriate and safe by our medical director.

Sunset Skin reserves the right to decline any treatment if it is determined to be unnecessary, unsafe, or unsuitable for the patient. All final decisions rest with the attending medical provider.

Your safety is always our top priority. We understand many of our patients travel from out of town. If conditions are unsafe, please notify us as soon as possible — we’ll gladly reschedule and fill your slot from our waitlist. There is no cancellation fee for weather-related reschedules.

Our Membership Programs are designed to offer exclusive savings and benefits. Membership requires a 12-month commitment, with payment options available as a monthly auto-withdrawal or a one-time annual payment.

Financing for one-time payments is available through Cherry, CareCredit, or Affirm.
Monthly memberships do not qualify for external financing.

Monthly payments are processed automatically from your designated card on file. Cancellation of the auto-withdrawal requires providing an alternate payment method beforehand.

Memberships automatically renew after 12 months unless cancellation is requested in person or via email.

Membership availability is limited and subject to quarterly review.
By enrolling, you acknowledge and accept the terms above.

We are always happy to answer questions or clarify your membership benefits.

A Good Faith Exam (GFE) is a medical assessment conducted to establish the patient–provider relationship, evaluate treatment suitability, and ensure compliance with Washington State regulatory standards (WAC 246919605 and WAC 246918125).

All patients receiving medical treatments administered by a Registered Nurse or Master Aesthetician must complete a GFE prior to their first treatment, then annually, or anytime there is a change in medical status (e.g., new medication, diagnosis, or pregnancy).

This brief examination is performed either virtually or in person by our on-site Physician Assistant or ARNP and ensures that your treatments are medically appropriate and safe.

Sunset Skin is often approached for assistance with managing complications originating from other clinics. While we are committed to patient safety, we must adhere to medical and legal standards.

Before assuming care for management of complications from outside facilities, a consent form, contract, and $2,000 retainer are required.
We encourage patients to contact their original provider first for corrective care whenever possible.

If that provider is unable to assist or provide timely support, our experienced medical team will gladly coordinate care once proper documentation and payment are received.

Sunset Skin maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of abuse, harassment, or disruptive behavior. Our staff, patients, and guests deserve a safe and respectful environment at all times.

Any individual who engages in aggressive, threatening, or disrespectful behavior — in person, by phone, or online — will be asked to leave and may be permanently dismissed from our care. Serious incidents will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Thank you for helping us maintain a kind, respectful, and welcoming space for everyone.
